Christina Hartlieb, Cincinnati: Harriet Beecher Stowe, Path to Anti-Slavery Advocate

 The Harriet Beecher Stowe House is an Ohio History Connection site that disseminates the story of the Beecher family, the impact of Uncle Tom’s Cabin, and the importance of the House to many groups over time.  The House is beginning a site revitalization process that will transform its interior exhibit space and exterior interpretation. 

Christina Hartlieb is a historian and educator who has lived in Cincinnati for 25 years.  Focusing on social history, women’s studies, and African American history, Hartlieb taught high school social studies for eleven years.  She now serves as the Executive Director at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.
